Dr. Asim Ijaz is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and past Clinical Lead at University Hospital of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. A dedicated educator and RCEM examiner, he has developed a special interest on sepsis, trauma, and leadership. For nine years, he has guided numerous doctors to success as an RCEM CESR Lead, earning the NW SAS champion 2023 title. He also sits on the NHS Employer Committee, shaping different curricula.
Globally, he serves on RCEM’s International Committee and co-leads the International cHALO EM initiative (leadership). Over the past decade, he has been actively involved in advancing Emergency Medicine in Pakistan through targeted workshops, conferences, and courses.

Passionate about health innovation and technology, he collaborates with Lancaster University on AI for clinical leadership and to improve patient flow. His innovative contributions have been recognized with his Trust's Health and Innovation Award and being shortlisted for a National Patient Safety Award.
